RedheadedBitch is a blog of political commentary – mine, and yours too, if you wish to share your thoughts. I reserve the right to delete offensive comments, by which I mean explicit profanity, which I evaluate by the Stewart Standard, A/K/A “I know it when I see it.”
Having said that, I hope RHB becomes the kind of place where people come to find and share interesting takes on US politics and any other damn thing we want to discuss. I believe in the citizen advocate, in doing rather than complaining, in credible information over propaganda. I lean left but I recognize that hiking taxes isn’t always the right thing to do; I’ve voted for Republicans before and I hope to again (if they ever leave ideology behind).
So come in, hang out, have some coffee and a chat. No matter what, enjoy yourselves — because if it isn’t fun, I won’t want to hang out here!
It’s so freaking polarizing now. I walked on a 35 year old friendship last week cuz of today’s politics. I am West Side Chicago Irish Catholic and wouldn’t vote Dem if they put a gun to my head, but I married a Union Activist’s (read “goon”) son. After forty plus years we tend to agree more often than not about politics. I would like to scale back my interest that lay dormant for so many years, but find my self frightened.
Do you not feel that being a redhead tends to color your outlook on life? I feel it has always informed my identity, perhaps, sometimes to too great an extent.
